Floor Repairs
The downstairs floor on this older property needed some structural work due to settlement. The existing floor was a mix of uneven timber boards and concrete floor which led into an extended galley kitchen. The entire floor needed to be made structurally sound ready for a levelling compound to be applied.
We strengthened the existing timber joists with noggins and laid a thick ply sheet to meet the edge of the concrete floor. The result was a strong sub floor with no ‘bounce’.
